Laila is 12 years old she started Karting at her local indoor track in July 2023 and was immediately picked up and entered into F1 Academy (Discover Your Drive Program) founded by Susie Wolff to encourage more females into motorsport, Laila progressed in her first BIKC championship in her first 4 weeks and managed to get to the regional finals. This year 2024 Laila won her local finals and placed second in the regional finals ,Making BIKC history to become one of the 4 females to make the national finals all of which are in the F1 Academy (DYD). In November 2023 Laila ventured outdoors making a big impact with her skills surprising herself and progressing to club100 championship where she has completed the full season picking up multiple podiums and driver of the day awards. In her first ever summer championship Laila placed 4th overall in the Bayford meadows summer championship. Laila thrives on speed and appears to increase her skills in faster surroundings ,and has the determination to make it all the way to the top. Laila has a dream/ambition to become one of the first female drivers to hit the F1 stage given the help and guidance that may be on offer in the future.
